First off I have to thank Dave and Sean for there fantastic support through the install and tuning process. My 98 GTS has bellanger headers, no cats, borla mufflers, k&N, and smooth tubes. I installed the vec2 myself with minor difficulties. I took the car to Sound Performance in bloomingdale, IL and had Larry do the tuning. Our base pull was 461 hp and 506 tq. Noticeable, were dips in in power from 3500-4300 rpm and the power fell off quickly at 5000. He tuned the Air fuel to 12.8 to 1 through the powerband and removed some fuel from 5000rpm to 5500 to bring the power curve back up. He then loaded in a suggested amount of timing from Sean. We didn't want to push the a/f hard all the way to 6k because I drive with Paolo C. and extended 4th and 5th gear pulls with speeds of 180 are done weekly. End results - 485hp and 543 torque. Had gains all the way from 2-6K rpm. A ton of power under the curve. This was all done on 93 octane without getting aggressive on the a/f or timing.
I couldn't be happier with the product, the support, and most importantly , Larry's ability to tune the car. Thanks to all.

John, I would like to congratulate you on all the power I thought you could not make with a Vec-2 and completely stock motor with headers exhaust and no cats!
==>Fucking fantastic! I did not know you could do that with just the Vec-2!
You seem to have gotten similar results to a heads and cam package :thumb:

John, maybe you should start looking into quickest ET's on street tires (not et streets or dr's) without going into the motor at all. (just headers, exhaust, tubes, and tuning)?

I bet that car goes 11.4x on street tires with John driving.... those numbers are INSANE for the mods! With the kind of driver John is, it wont suprise me in the least to see that car go mid 11's all day long with consistancy
