SO I AM THINKING ABOUT GOING AFTER THE 1/4 MILE WORLD RECORD...
on street tires that is. Does anyone know what the record is on true street tires. Also, do you think I'm going to hear any BS about running Pirelli's instead of Pilots? I have been getting good at this little ole' street tire launch of mine.

If you are talking "radials," it will be in the sevens soon.
If you are talking stock type street tires, I think you need to run Pilots in a Viper stock size to be equivalent to others. Tony has posted that mark (which is very impressive).
Basically 3 tire types: slicks, radials and Pilots.

Good luck with that. You know you have to run it in a.....what was the name of that series again, oh yeah.......V-10 National official race in order to claim that record. Good luck with that too. Although unofficially you may already own the 20" P-Zero on a B&W TT with 5347 miles and Corsa exhaust. At least in GA.

I am thinking that as well. I am going to wait and do it at a viper event so that it will be "official". Maybe someone will be a nice guy and let me borrow their pilot sports so that there are no excuses. We will see.
