New "Chrysler Firepower" in viper gts body

Just saw the concept "firepower" Its a gts body with more squared lines and edgeing. 425 hp hemi engine. Interior has a upscale look with Chrysler badging. They have it at the Detroit auto show, looks pretty bad ass. :thumb:

Sorry I won't have pics until next weekend, I just saw it on a autoshow preview. It doesn't open until the 15th. It had a flatter squared off nose and hood. The roof and rear window were squared off also. Looks very aggressive. Interior had polished aluminum trim. Can't wait to see it up close.

sounds nice, auto or not. with the new viper coupe looking like shit might as well consider options, hell even the new vette looks good and i NEVER thought id even consider a vette post 1970

I think there is a place for the firepower AND viper. Sell the firepower as a bmw fighter and sell the viper as the hardcore sports car.

Lots of pix in the new mags. It's pretty ugly, especially that front grill and the top view of the hood...
Anyone else disappointed to see DC SRT spending all their mojo on other cars and letting the Viper die? I don't see any other way to say it, based on the fact the new coupe (and the existing roadster) will be competing against a tupperware Z that will outperform it for 20K less...

according to motor trend the firepower is supposed to be a corvette fighter, and with the 6.1L hemi puttig out 425hp it could be. i don't think that DC will put the power ratings so close to the viper, if the firepower is meant to fight the vette than i think they will bump the power up on the viper to fight ferrari's and such. personally i think the firepower looks more like an ashton martin than a viper gts.
