I bet I know what happened. The highways in Maryland are so horrific in regards to the truck ruts everywhere. All it would take would be a little moisture and a bad case of the 275's following the ruts and losing control. I took it easy out there when I was breaking in the car out at Heffners. Those roads scared the shit out of me!
Definitely a tragic story. My sympathy goes out to his family.
Actually the intersection was only a couple miles from my house and I saw where it was. It was not on a highway but a very slow (around 35 mph) road/intersection off of an exit and too short of a distance from the highway to go really fast and not likely there are many ruts on that road as its a pretty small road with not a whole lot of traffic. Plus it was a very dry sunny afternoon yesterday so moisture most likely is out of the question. Not really sure what happened.
I went to school with his daughter and just received an e-mail from her regarding the funeral arrangements. I just bought a 2004 Viper and now my wife and mother are scared to hell.
sorry to hear this. not really anything one can say to ease the pain. time is the only thing that works. i sure hope he wasnt doing something preventable
