Good: Yes I got some new bests and the car was running STRONG. Cool weather in the 40s is awesome.
BUT.....
Bad: Track Prep was non-existent and I was running in to a 18-20mph headwind.
My car hooks better on the street. I had to lift out of every 1-2 shift, one time it was facing the wall and talk about wheel hop.
My car was actually spinning and wheelhopping on some 2-3 shifts - it usually only chirps 2-3 on the street.
Launching was tricky, the car would take no more than 2000rpms off the line.
Anyhow- THE RESULTS
My best run (2000rpm launch, hopped bad on the 1-2 and lifted, spun bad on the 2nd-3rd)
1.899 - 60' NEW BEST
8.036 - 1/8 NEW BEST
92.93 - mph
12.318 - 1/4 NEW BEST
117.48 - mph
My 2nd best run (2000rpm launch, 1-2 hopped bad, lifted 1/2 way and got back in)
1.994 - 60'
8.105 - 1/8
94.10 - mph NEW BEST
12.352 - 1/4
118.52 - mph NEW BEST
My last time out was in July in upper 80 degree temps and high humidity -
that resulted in a 12.34@116.1 with a 1.94 60' and a 1/8 of 8.0xx and 91.xxx. I can't find the slips currently.
Keep in mind the car is STOCK on STOCK RADIALS - I know this car has 11s in it with better traction down the track - at least my 03 Cobra only hopped out of the hole, never on the 1-2 or 2-3 shifts.
Still - my 03 Cobra has the Viper bested with a 7.99 1/8 and a 12.22 1/4 - but at lower mph's.
I ran my bone stock RT/10 to a best run of 12.14 on a 1.83 60'. I thought traction was fine. I was cutting 1.5X 60' in a 850 rwhp Z06 so it couldn't have been bad
For some reason, I couldn't get the Viper out of 12s today. It sucks considering I was running 4/10ths better last week.
Off the line prep was good, but for some reason I was spinning and hopping on the 2-3 shift a couple of times like I would on a 1-2 shift. The 1-2 shifts were brutal, I granny shifted and still had to lift on the 1-2 shift.
I waited till about 10 Am to leave for Chuck's and Sal's Inspection. There was a good inch of snow on the ground once I got north of Armonk. Frigin people were driving on 684 at 70 MPH with 3 inches of snow left on their cars...puuuffff... every 3-4 miles I had to dodge some flying chunk of airborne ice! They even salted the roads, so I had to wash my car after I got home!

My mph was down too (probably because of the 20 mph headwind). I was trapping only around 114.
I tried the left lane once, I hit the 1-2 shift, even shortshifted at like 5200rpm and I headed on a 45 degree angle toward the middle of the track and had to back out completely resulting in a 12.6@116.6 - my worst run of the day.
I bet you could have pulled off some spectacular runs if the track was prepped correctly. That's ok, spring will be here before you know it. Good job though
I might have an 11 second car with a 12 second driver.
At least your honest. I must be the same way. Although, I don't think a my bone stock ACR can run 11's without some slicks. Maybe it could squeak out a 11...but I'm a 12 sec driver too
i found that the track was no match for 600 ponies to the wheels on my car. every 1-2 shift and some 2-3 ones resulted in some nasty wheel hop and step out action on the juice. put it this way. i had a meager babied 2.0 60 ft time with a 12.55 et at 127mph i only had to totally get off the gas straigten back up and nail it again to finish the run. knew it was shit but likes to stay in it to see how hard the dodge pulled on a stock z06. It wasn't pretty. my car with radials loves atco usually but the track has to be at lest 70 degrees plus to hold stock radials with 600 ponies. paul, i read on the other site, how your tt zo6 was handling the traction issues fine. i am sure if my car and full slicks i would have been cool too, but radials with high horsepower cant hold on a track when its 32 degree windchill.
