In Wa state they requre a front lic plate. But I just put mine on the passanger's side floor. I've been pulled over and asked why. So I just told the cop there is no front lic plate mount on the car. It fell out from the front window and it's not safe to pick it up off the passanger's side floor while driving. Works every time.

Yeah well it just so happens that there are a few cops that are pricks. I got pulled over by a few for not having a front plate. They were bragging to each other about the different expensive cars they had snagged that night for not having front plates.

I live in central Jersey and just don't want to be harassed by the cops so I put a front license plate bracket on from Parts rack. It clips on and is made to be removable. I secured it with some plastic ties since it did not look like it clamped the bumper too tightly. I think the car looks fine with the front plate.

They look like shit with a front plate......Just pay the 10 bucks and call it a day.....
It's $40 and it's not like a give a shit about that. When I had my vette I went through the same thing, but when I got 3 tickets in one week in the same town, the third one he marked court appearance required and the judge told me that if I got another he was going to put my nuts in a vice. I don't plan on putting the front plate on, but if I run into the same situation, I may have no choice.

You have a month in CA because it is a fix it ticket plus a samll fine. Just carry the ticket with you go get it signed off and then wait till your next one....I have never put a front plate on any car I own. Fuck that.
