Toasted clutch and flywheel pics.

The previous owner of my car put this clutch in and it wanted to come back out on its own! [image]http://www.viperalley.com/attach/data/1/424489-tooth_338.jpg[/image]

Loose bolts back out and cut grooves in the flywheel , tight bolts do not. [image]http://www.viperalley.com/attach/data/1/424491-tooth_340.jpg[/image]

Re: Toasted clutch and flywheel pics.

So on your flywheel, (Fidanza I'm guessing), the bolts that hold inthe steel insert backed out?! That blows, will you still be able to use your performance clutch or is it toast? How much will a replacement insert cost?

Re: Toasted clutch and flywheel pics.

DW and Chris at Maxwell had it back on the road quickly, they ordered the parts before I dropped my car off and it was ready the next day. It would have been ready the same day , but he had to get new bolts along with a new complete clutch and alum. flywheel. :thumb: [image]http://www.viperalley.com/attach/data/1/424505-tooth_291.jpg[/image]

It made a nasty noise and parts came off and went bouncing down the road , sparking as they went. It still made it home at low rpm.
