yes it was a 8th of a mile track. My 1st reaction time was crap. I think I was spinning right off the line so that time was really really bad or maybe I was just waiting for the other car to get a good head start [img]/images/graemlins/wink[/img]. The 2nd run was better, I just felt the car had more in it.
Here is what I think I need to learn feel free to add.
1.) Control spin off the line. The reason this is a issue, if you remember I used to have a neon where I just spun untill I got traction, that would give the best 60ft times. The DSM I had...I would dump the clutch at 4800rpm-5000rpm and it would spin just a tad and hook right up. The viper is VERY differant from anything I've raced before.
2.) Stop the car from rolling while staged. I would have to hold the clutch and the brake or the car would roll. So what about using some tape or something to hold the button on the ebrake? That way I could just drop the ebrake while I hold the rev at about 1800-2000rpm.
3.) Let air out of the tires. All these runs where made with 45psi in the tires. hehehe. I was excited. I'm thinking something like 15-20psi should be good.
no way in hell pal, i run 150 shot nitrous in my viper and my 1/8 mile time was 7.3 at 104 so no way you did this is a stock viper. look at the slip again. oh and the full quarter for that run was 11.40 on the brakes cause i didnt want to get kicked out on the first run of the night, at 108 mph!!!!!
post it all you want i dont give a crap it has to be a malfunction with the tracks equiptment, or you are reading the guy who you raced in the other lane, you know the one that beat you good!!!! you have 2 guys on this thread that posted they use 150 shot nitrouus kits on lightly modded cars and you beat there 1/8 mile speeds stock, NO WAY DREAMER!!!!!!!
I thought it sounded off...but hey, that's why I'm here. TO LEARN. A geo metro did a 9.xxx I got the slips, maybe my car is faster then most...maybe the timer at the 1/8mi strip is busted, maybe the track is a little shorter. Hell I don't know.

tanked, no one intelligent is saying you dont have a viper but if you were logical enough you would see that there is something wrong with your numbers rather than making a moronic statement like, " maybe my car is faster than most". your car would be a freak of nature to be quicker than a 600+ rwhp viper using nitrous!!!!!!! DON'T THINK SO. even your assumed mph should tell you its wrong! you stated you think 80-85 through the traps with a 7.2 et. never bro, 7.2 would equililate into over 650 horses at the wheels high 10 sec 1/4 mile pass trapping the 1/8 at well over 100mph! I am done on this issue. call the track and tell them they need to recalibrate there equiptment ok. i isn't working Bro.
