Can the fuel line be disconnected from above?

If I'm pulling off the intake manifold, do I have to get under the car to disconnect the fuel line connector? I don't want to have the car on ramps the entire time the intake's off...

Is that to unscrew the line from the intake or separate the quick disconnect?

I've seen an intake off an engine before, and the fuel line length from intake to the quick disconnect seemed long enough that it might be hard to reach from above...

thats to screw off the fitting...and be ready...fuel will spill every where...it's easier than trying to get the disconnect apart..Len

Okay.. so the nut/fitting will swivel as I unscrew it without twisting the line?

Re: Can the fuel line be disconnected from above?

You can do it that way and the line will not twist. Use the quick disconnect, it is quicker and a ton easier. Remove the cowl, loosen up the intake and move it forward a little, follow the fuel line down with your hand and find the quick disconnect (it is not that far down, you can see it with a light). Push in the black outter ring and remove the fuel line. When you reinstall just click it back together.
