Quick question on Corsa...
When looking for exhaust on prior cars, I always heard and saw that Corsa is a bit more of a European sound than old school muscle car sound. If I'm looking for a deep and throaty muscle car sound... will I be disappointed with Corsa?

Borla may be a better option for you. But they drone. But you can modify them with an H-pipe to reduce drone.

I have the B&B with hf cats, it has a nice deep growl, but like everyone says, it will drone at certain rpm.

Awesome- any chance you have a video of the sound from the outside at idle? And/or while the car is driving away? I assume the hf cats would make yours a bit louder than mine would sound with stock cats. I'm ok with a little bit of drone, as long as you can still have a conversation in the car on the highway. Because this has the x-pipe included, I'm hoping that limits the drone a bit.

I would say Yes...I have a Kooks headers and Corsa (without cats) exhaust and it screams when it hits boost.

I have this exact set-up and love it. It does drone at 1500 RPM but that is it. I also have high flow cats.

Couple of questions for the folks who've done a cat delete:
What year is your car and did it throw a CEL?
Do you need to tune your car after doing the delete so it runs properly?
Could you use a good set of clamps instead of weld, or is it just better to get them welded?

Thanks!

On your 00, yes it will throw a CEL with convertor removal. You can either buy some MIL's or get a SCT tune.

Mine, and most folks systems are solely held together with clamps.

I think the general consensus among owners is that the Corsa is the superior exhaust (cat-back) in terms of both sound and material. The price does reflect that, and it certainly doesn't mean that the alternatives (Belanger and Borla probably being the next most popular) are bad, just not quite as good as the Corsa. The general consensus also seems to be that Belangers are the best headers, again price reflecting, and the alternatives probably aren't really that much worse.

My 98 threw a CEL. I did the plug non-fouler trick. Worked like a champ.

For reference, here's stock manifolds, no cats, and Borla with NO rear mufflers or crossover:

2001 no cats No CELs with DIY Non-fouler sims.
I clamped in Moroso Spiral flow Mufflers where the cats were.
No Tune,...No issues. Smells a little.
