delaminating rear window

I popped my rear hatch this evening on my '97 GTS & noticed that the rear glass is starting to come apart from the metal hinge plate, just above the right hinge. I know that Chrysler says not to repair it, only replace the rear window, but has anyone ever heard of them being re-glued? If not, in what year did they solve the problem....maybe I'll look for one from a later model wreck.
