SRT-10 problem !

hi guys! my cousin, few days back had a small problem with his 04 SRT-10 , when he accelerate the engine is running out of breath or power @ 5700 rpm then it gets back normal after that ?! I asked him to stop and hold the rpm until redline to check if it’s the engine or gears, etc, same problem! Anyone with same problem ?

i had a chance to drive the car last night and somehow after 5700 RPM the car wont accelerate any farther and wont go over 5800 rpm give or take a little !! I even did a highway run running about 160mph but the car didn’t manage to go faster than that no matter what and the rpm stopped @ 5800 or something !!! Something is holding the car don’t know what!
