Good place for a front lic. plate

I saw a viper with a front lic. plate that did not detract from the front and was attached with no damage to the Viper.
It was rubber band to his sun visor and when a cop was around he would flip the visor down leaving the lic. plate visible to on coming traffic. I asked the guy if he had any problems with the law and he told me that the law just says visible from the front.
Great idea if anyone has had problems with the law and no front plate.

so its behind the windsheild correct??...if so tats a no go in New York at least...i read the actual law for a friend who got a ticket once and the plate needs to be permanently attached to the front of the car with NOTHING between the plate and the outside world...all those plate brackets that have like a clear plastic cover for the plate and stuff...those are illegal too...
