Hayabusa AssWhuppin

last night I got a chance to enjoy getting schooled by a friend of mine. he just got his hyabusa back from a tuner in alabama and it is now a turbo 560hp BEAST.

he did an 8.6 at 179mph last night at the track. he was on one wheel through the eighth at 145mph. kinda made my 11.3 at 129 look pretty sad, LOL.

Re: Hayabusa AssWhuppin

streetbike too. all the drag bikes fuckin hate him, LOL. he comes in on his bike, rolls out a few eight second runs and drives it home.

Ive come to realize, the hyabusa is truly the viper of the bike world. Im seriously considering buying one, doing the turbo upgrade and starting some track fun with it

Re: Hayabusa AssWhuppin

The other day I watched a Discovery Channel show on the race at the Bonneville salt flats.

There was a guy out of Cali on a turbo Busa - the first time to the races. First trip he averaged a little over 200 mph and beat the old record by 40 mph.

Next time he averaged 246 mph - insane.

Shows what I know; I had no idea one could get over 500hp from a Hayabusa.
That is simply incredible.

Re: Hayabusa AssWhuppin

isaac; nitrous system is still not quite right. the install job was poorly done and many mistakes were made that i am not only redoing but financially paying for a second time now. nevertheless, i dont do anything less than the right way so when im done, itll work like it should. overall a baaad experience for me. but, its the past and im not one to look back to often

Mojo,

If you join the Busa club, I can steer you in the right direction if you aren't anywhere close to Sebastian @ NLR (whom I imagine did your buddy's bike).

As odd as it sounds, 500HP Busas are not so unusual anymore. Several are well over 600, in fact.

John, the guy on the Bonneville video hangs and the suzukihayabusa.org site as SpeedKing. He is an LA local.

Re: Hayabusa AssWhuppin

500 - 600 HP out of a 1 to 1.5 liter engine? Holly Sh*t! Now be honest, how many miles could one expect out of a combo like this? I assume reliability must be an issue when you push the limits to this extent. Also, is this HP on pump gas (94 octane of less), and is nitrous being used? What I am actually curious about is what is the most RWHP you can get from this engine, without nitrous, and maintain reliability/streetability?

500-600 hp is not on pump gas. I dont even think they can hit 400hp on pump fuel....although I could be wrong. And Busa's start at 1.3 litres (1300cc's). I don't know if any of the average turboed busa's are stroked or bored....don't think they'd need it. But I imagine the ones pushing the higher limits are.
