If you are lookin to pick up some cheap improved HP and Sound definitely go for the K&Ns (or better).
I swapped my stock crap paper filters today like I do on all my cars, but the Viper seemed to have taken the best to the K&Ns. The exhaust volume is now noticably! louder and you can now hear my car hiss even at idle through the hood scoop, as it sucks in air.
I guess those paper filters were more restrictive than I thought. They were kinda dirty but not too terrible. I'm at 8k miles.
