hi all. nice place. I hope this becomes a great place to hang and talk Vipers.
I decided not to go forward with my 99 red GTS purchase (long story) but I am still going to look. I think I am going to finish my pro-touring 69 Camaro and get a lift installed in my new garage before making the Viper purchase. So if anybody wants a great deal on a clean 99 let me know..I had him down to 49K. The car comes with an 7/100 max care warranty and the car has 10k miles.
Toby - was that the Viper that was on ebay a few months ago? That is a steal of a price for what you get. Did you ever see the Viper in person? My only concern was that the owner was a little young and had to buy new rear tires (red flag) before 10,000 miles. Still a great deal though.

yes it was the car. The 10k miles with new tires did give me a bit of a gut check but he did say the tires still had life..he just wanted to put a new set on. At the time he was still driving with the old rears and had the new ones sitting in his garage. The car was clean but I canceled the inspection at the last moment. He was young and a bit of a putz. I think I made the right choice.
I think I might wait for a Viper for a bit like I explained before. Until then... I just ordered my new brake system and rear axle for my Camaro project. It will have 13 inch bear brakes and a trick GM 12 bolt with ford housings. next comes the ATI supercharger that will take my built small block to around 500HP at the crank with moderately low pressure.
I will..I actually just ordered a new digital camera so I will post pics soon. I have had the car since I was 18 (34 now) and I am currently taking it through a full ground up restoration and modification process.
67-69 were definately the best years for the Camaro - IMO. I think all since then have been ugly as hell. When I was 16 I wanted a 68, but couldn't find the right one ever and settled for a 5.0. That was a mistake.
