OK.

Obviously Nitrous is a cheap initial investment, but what does it cost to re-fill these bottles? And how many 1/4 runs do you get per bottle?

Heck, make it simple on me.... How much does nitrous cost per 1/4 use?

Well, it depends on where you get the nitrous. I pay $2 per pound, but I've seen as high as $4 or $5. It also depends on the size of the shot you use. 300 uses a lot more than 100. With a conservative 150 shot, you should get 4 or 5 good 1/4 mile runs out of a 10 lb bottle. The power starts to diminish after the first few uses as the tank starts to empty.

Wow, so a run costs anywhere from $4-12.5? That's a lot! Makes a supercharger or TT seem more reasonable...

Well, not exactly. 4 or 5 runs won't use the entire bottle, but once it gets down to 3 or 4 pounds, I refill it because of the loss of power.

So figure $3 per pound and 6 pounds for 4 runs. That works out to less than $5 per run and a lot of quarter miles to equal a tuner package. But there is so much more to it than that.
