The video is about 2 years old taken at Phoenix Int'l Raceway. The driver downshifted from 4th to 2nd in order to dive down into the infield. Bad mistake. The proper line for turn 1 is to downshift after you come off the oval and into the infield. That RT/10 was the original Viper that was used in the Jack N the box commercials.

Thats an old vid....but it sure brings a tear everytime I see it.

The guy had an instructor with him, but pulled the down shift without REV MATCHING and dropped the clutch....the instructor didn't have time to say anything and into the wall they went. However, they guy supposedly got the entire thing covered under insurance because he was in a "Driving School" not a "Racing School".

4th to 2nd is dumb especially if you dont match the rpms, whatever happened to third then sencond
