Hi Rohn, sorry we missed you. The racing was real good, but the track was not hooking up for any of the stick cars with big power.
We had all kinds of traction issues and our best run was a 9.65 @ 156.57 mph with a 1.696 60 ft. time. We got that on our 3rd practice run on Saturday. We ran 9.88 to qualify number 1 and that was also the quickest et of the day for the stick cars. That just goes to show how tough the track conditions were for everybody.
Torque Monster - Jamie Parker's Venom 1000 Twin Turbo GTS had previously gone 156 mph twice with a best mph of 156.46.

almost 157 MPH is absolutely flying, had to be an adrenalin rush and a half.
Albert and I didn't make the race but had several rush moments at the Black Jack Tables where Albert plays the "all in" theory of betting and did real well. I brought him to the roulette table where I showed him how to win at a game that has little thought process needed. I hit the table for 3 hits of $1800.00 or better. Albert had the "I think it is going to be red" feelings and would put $500.00 to $2000.00 on the color and won almost every time.
We would have rather made the races but the tables were good to us. I left Albert working on a new couch and end tables at the black tables at 4am, Us old guys just cant hang much past 4am.

Carrot, don't feel bad, we were all raped in Vegas this past weekend. I was down about $4,500 until the little streak at the black jack table before we went out to the bar -- managed to cut my losses to a mere $3,300. I know Geezer lost $5 or $6K (all that he had on him by the end of Friday night) and Gerald and you were down a couple grand Saturday, although I believe gerald won back about a grand or so. Good hanging with you guys this weekend.

I was down 3k. When Manny, Mike and Eric and Carrot sat down on that table, I won ALMOST 1,500 back. Unreal , but the dealer only hit BlackJack ONCE in almost 2 hours of dealing! It was very hard to walk away from that table. We all had a great run! [img]/images/graemlins/smiles[/img]

This was a Viper get together, or at least it was supposed to be. The original date was Easter weekend, and that caused issues for some of the guys, so it was changed to the weekend after that, but then some chose to stick to the original date, so our group became somewhat split. Big Carrot and REd Snake joined the group and ultimately, while small, it was a great time. Did some indoor sky diving which was something I never did and thought was a blast.
The plan is to get together about 4 times per year (every quarter or so) and do a Vegas weekend with the guys. Not cofirmed yet, but the next one would be in July probably. LOTS of bikinis at the pool during this time. Hell, this time we didn't even get kicked out of the ghost bar! Woooooooooooh! (yes, it happened last time.)
