Do the rear calipers from an ABS car bolt into the earlier cars?

Yep, I know the piston size is 43mm on the later ABS rear caliper, and that's what I'm looking for ;-) Does anyone know if the caliper is interchangable with the earlier non-ABS 36mm piston rear calipers?

No, they are not. The 36mm style bolts directly to the knuckle, the 43mm uses a brake pad holding bracket that then attaches to knuckle. The 43mm also has a different attaching location for the brake hose, which hits the inside of a 17" wheel. I bought one and tried all this, forget it...

Just get a good set of stop techs, and leave the frankinstein'in alone :-)
