I got my set from jon B at PartsRack for I think about $1200.00. He is cool. I was told that the biggest dif is the noise in the cockpit for the cross over and non cross over. I think tho it only applies to the GTS models. With the R/T the droan noise is not that noticable with either set-up.
The cross over looses most of it's effectiveness when placed well after the headers. On a Viper, they're usually just in front the tips so they don't do much but add a bit to the sound.
BTW- Someone just posted about a Corsa system being offered for under $900 (I think). Was here or on the VCA board. If I can remember of find it I'll post the link.

On a 2000 and up, it's sounds terrible...What happened to the Borla plan...That'a a Mopar part and has cool poser Sneaky Petes engraved on the exhaust tips...

And has a constant annoying drone. (borla) And those tips look straight rice!! Corsa imho has by far the best looking tips on the market.
I had initially planned on doing the Borla, but it is a true dual and I feel or I prefer a system with a crossover, so I chose the Corsa. I have other mods which help buffer the rasp.
Oh and I would pay $1500 before I bought from partsrack.

The "crossover" is two seconds before the exhaust exits the rear...not exactly a crossover...IMHO...It' really more of a muffler...
But I haven't heard JDAWG's hot rod....it is rarely seen outside the confines of his garage...If anyone does spot this illusive RT, please take a pic...for prosperity... [img]/images/graemlins/laughing.gif[/img]
I paid 775.00 shipped for the new Borla system and I like it a lot. Very deep at idle yet get nice and loud at full throttle with plenty of pops and burbles on decel. (have high flow cats too)
Sure I like the tips of the Corsa but not for twice the price.

You are 100 percent right! Had Corsa on my 2000 GTS and the sound SUCK's; only when you revved it passed 4000 rpm it sounded descent but NOTHING like my Mopar exhaust I have on it now. Borla makes the Mopar exhaust and they're identical except that Mopar has much nicer tip's.Don't waste your time and money putting an X-pipe on the Mopar/Borla exhaust, I did it and all it did was quiet it down from the outside and gave it alot less rumble. Stick with the two single pipes on the system. [img]/images/graemlins/supergrin.gif[/img]
