Just got back from SKIP BARBER racing school..What a Blast !!!

The VCA hosted a one day Skip Barber event at Laguna Seca and I've gotta say that it's the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on .

What an absolute blast ! Plenty of seat time in the Viper SRT-10's and excellent hands on instruction ( We got to beat the piss out of there Vipers ). Topics covered were everything from controlling understeer/oversteer to braking and Skid Pad control.

I'd Highly reccomend this class to any car enthuisiast!

You ready to take me on big boy?

Laguna Seca is a great track, did they time you?

We gotta event with my local club OTR at Willow Springs (in Lancaster) on May 19th if you wanna come out and practice.

BEWARE once you've been bitten by the roadracing bug it gets expensive

Jeff, did you drive or fly up there? Sounds like something I'll end up doing.

SoCal, you going to any event at all in April? I think mid May there is the Silver Classic and I want to run in that.

Did you get to run with others on the track, pass and more? Sounds like a great time.
I went to the Panoz 4 day school and that was a blast and makes you want more.

Re: Just got back from SKIP BARBER racing school..What a Blast !!!

I can echo Yellow Fevers comments. My wife and I attended the 2 day high performance driving school a few weeks back and I must say this has been the most fun I have had in a vehicle. Skip Barber is a first class operation and I have learned so much while having a blast and highly recommend it to all Viper owners. The program consisted of learning driving techniques the first day in Neons, Dakotas and Vipers and then applying them the second day culminating in timed team autocrosses in the Vipers. Overall, time spent was nearly 50% in the Vipers. The instructors also took us around the Laguna Seca track in the Neons racing full out . Damn those little cars handle great when driven to the extreme by experienced drivers! As a GTS owner, I must say that those SRT10s seem to be better drivers, especially with those seats and awesome brakes. Anyway enjoy the pictures.

No ViperDays yet. I am trying to arrange attending the VOI8 ViperDays this coming September. Gotta figure out logistics and ask my insurance company if the GTS is covered.
