Help me locate my VSS wire

I need to know where my VSS and Tach wires are to install a aftermarket heads up display unit.

Can someone tell me which wires I will need?

I believe its the rear plug on the transmission on all the T56's.

Ok, I need a better place to get to it, what colors will it be when it is in the main wiring harness?

Also, what color(s) is the tach wire?

I am at work right now, where is the best place to get to the harness and attach to thoes two wires? I need to run the wire to my dash for a heads up display unit.

BTW : The HUD is from http://www.defi-shop.com/ VSD BASIS, great little unit. Had one on my Z28 and was mid install on my Cobra before I traded it in.

take the cover off the PCM at the left under the hoods of the car near your left foot and and you will see the pcm right there...you can drill a hole there or route it however ya want...

Ok I found them, but how many pulses per mile / crank rev are the VSS and tach wires?
