This is good fun guys.
re turbos not being good for the track - arrrmmmm... well...early days yet - but for goodness sakes don't tell Mike Moran - because his street legal twin turbo EFI Monte carlo ran 240mph trap speed and cut a 6.26 pass, he's working on getting the launch and 660 footer right so it'll cut the 5.9 second pass it is capable of. Anyone know of any other street legal cars that can run 240mph in the 1/4?
didn't think so.
Turbos are pretty good when set up for racing - we ain't seen a race setup yet.... apart from SVS which has been kept to low boost ...but we will in time see something quite serious.
Remember the TT cars that John and Jason have put out are daily drivers that can sneak home at night without waking the neighbors.

DOn't Misunderstand me, I think the TT has the ultimate Potential on the track. But like you said there has YET to be one that is set for the super times available.
But for Now the blower cars has proven better on the track to this point with no other power adders.
I think that NOS for now is the real king of the hill and probably the combo of Nos and Turbo or Blower will beat the record soon.
then again You never know Dr Roof might just blow everyone for a wild a crazy loop and run 9.30's of the Trailer??? you never know until race day!

MPH in the 1/4 is power. I know John's TT's have run 151+ at every event since Texas. How close to 151 MPH have you run since then?
ET is just a function of the driver and how well the car is set up to drag race.
With all due respect my water injection gave me a gain of 20rwhp total, so I guess it is the same as a 100 shot Come on now let's not make foolish statements such as Water injection = nitrous. Hey Roof let's up our water shots so we can make an extra 25rwhp I dont know if you have noticed but Almost all of Dlm's stage 2 and 3 cars make in the 850rwhp range without it so take that bs somewhere else
Mike, I am glad you are finally getting your car back and are able to start talking smack.
I will not talk any smack until my car is done.
If your car only gained 25 RWHP I would suggest upgrading to Dr Roof's Water/methanol injection kit which quite possibly netted him 5-7 MPH in the 1/4 and 3 tenths.
Mike, if it were only that easy to pick up 3 tenths and 5-7 MPH with 25 RWHP you should tell Doug to sell me some of that magic because that would be one heck of a deal!
Good luck with your car and I will be back in the game soon enough! :thumb:

Dude stop and read the thread fully David did not pick up 5-7mph from the water alone, he upgraded to the Pro4 package from his level III. Better heads, better cam, new and more effiecent plumbing, bigger blower the works If it were only that easy to put a water injection kit and run 150s everyone would be doing it wouldnt you think

Tony, all I was saying was that both make additional power. I did not say it was the exact same mechanism, just that if methanol injection added 5-7 mph on Dr. Roof's car in the 1/4, a certain shot of N2O would do the same.
How's your car buddy? I hope to see you soon.
