Heffner set the world record twin turbo six speed time with a 9.7@147mph on Sal's stock heads/bottom end GTS>
Sweet, I knew that little fiesty red head had it in him And you said stock bottom end and heads Looks like world records were shattered in every category this time around
Thanks to Roof for putting on another great event. I enjoyed myself, seeing some great people and fast Vipers even though we came in last, thats racing.
One high point was when Albert took the RSI built S/C car into the record book at a 9.52 6-speed.
Tuners with good looking wifes, Larry M. and Tom where did you guy's get so lucky?
Ward R. had some bad luck and I can sympathies with him but this is just the first race in a series and maybe all of the ghost will be worked out by next time we all meet up.
So many Vipers in the 9's was another record for one race and the vette boy's that came to watch were impressed.
Doug Leven, great guy and he DOES have one of his customers in the 9's, 9.8 to be exact, great run Doug.
1 tony 1, great driving, enjoyed the time another 9 sec. Viper, Tony is another class person.
On to the next race

Thanks guys! We had a blast in Florida! Saturday was the radial tire shootout(no drag radials) and I hopped off the plane and into my rental car, straight to the track. Excited as can be, I went an 11.11@13xmph @10psi. Turned it up to 12psi and managed 11.02@141mph.
Sunday, the Viper gear box and I were having relationship issues , so we had to go with experience and put the BIG BAD HEFF behind the wheel! First pass out hazing the tires through the 1/8 mile, and voila 9.72@147.42mph @ 12psi! We then turned the boost down for the Super Pro Street class to 10.5psi, hence the lower mph the rest of the day. But with 10.5psi, Jason managed a 9.95@143mph. Jason WON the Finals in the Super Pro Street Class against no other than the infamous Doug Levin (granted Doug Levin broke out by going quicker than the 9.90 limit in the Super Pro Street Class). Towards the end of the day, Jason tried to make a 15psi pass and the ET Streets just laughed at him when he tried to come out of the hole!
Congrats to everyone and their new bests. Needless to say, Jason Heffner has tremendously exceeded my expectations of what this car would run! This car is wicked fast and definitely a hand full to drive, with stock car like behavior! For those in question, take a ride in one of Heffner's TT Vipers and you'll ask where to sign! Set a new record for me and a personal goal on drag radials, before I grenaded my left half shaft, I went 10.90 and 10.84 at about 128 mph on 5 psi. I was taken out in the first round of eliminations when my half shaft imploded and shot shrapnel through my rim and blew a bullet size hole in the rim before it blew the rear drag radial off the rim. Fortunately I controlled the car and did not hit anything. I did take first place in the tow vehicle challange with a 13.53 at 101 mph in the Harley Truck and then towed the limp Viper 120 miles home to Orlando. All and all it was a great day.

That half shaft incedent was insane. You have a jam up car that makes great power right along with a truck that does the same. Congrats on the tow challange. It was fun hanging out this weekend and look forward to doing it again at future events.
