Of course, you are a newbie so you don't realize that I owned a 2000 GTS for years and will readily tell ANYBODY that it is a superior looking car to the SRT - check every post I have EVER made on the subject instead of being such a pissy bitch. My GTS leaked and so do others (bad windshield seals). The SRT-10 is mechanically superior in every respect. There is not a person on this planet that will disagree. Does it make it an awesome car? Not if people don't like the looks. Thankfully, other than some diehard Viper owners, the looks have been VERY well received by the media (all) and general public. Hell, I won a car show against a Gen II GTS that had a couple thousand miles less than my Stratomaro2000. Speaking of which, swing by Windbreaker Central and you will see that is my signature. I don't have any problem poking fun at my shitty little Viper.
Assuming they don't kill the Viper completely in a few years (my bet is they will), the Gen II owners will be outnumbered by Gen III at some point. No, I don't suggest a fight or a war (although you obviously do), but I would suggest that when you come to a supposed Viper website with a supposed Viper Forum that you show just a little teeny bit of respect to your fellow Viper owner. PS. And since you decided to pull out the bullshit windbreaker comment, let me give you some other insight: I resigned off the VCA website "management" completely some time ago (and won't return) and am in a very heated battle with the true "windbreakers". I think the VCA is poorly run and is killing itself. VIPER magazine is an overpriced joke and that is really the only benefit I could see of joining the National VCA. So it ain't much. Note that some VCA regions try to help their members and do some pretty decent shit. Of course, helping another Viper owner immediately makes you a "windbreaker" I guess, but obviously won't have to worry about that title.

Viper Alley rocks, but maybe someday you will remember that they don't sell the Gen II anymore and that guys buying new Vipers will be looking for a place to hang out. Even the Vette guys are not so completely retarded so as to insult other Vette owners every fucking time they get a chance. Even though the C4 is boring and the Lil Red Express pickup truck was the fastest American iron in 1978 (yep, more HP than a Vette and waxed it 0-100), they try to respect each other's rides to some degree (dolphin canvasses aside).

Another thing I find interesting is how you say we get our jollys from bashing the SRT and we dont respect your ride, but you initiated the entire thing by sticking your nose in this thread when somebody made the comment of how they didnt think the SRT carried the viper torch very well in his opinion. Cool. I will never bash the Gen II (or Gen I) because I am one of those people that genuinely loves the Viper in every single shape or color. I think it is an absolute KICK ASS car that defines a "modern exotic hotrod" - and I am referring to the GTS specifically. The SRT is not as exciting nor will it be. I also think it looks like shit with the aftermarket hardtop (the SRT). It ain't no GTS, but I do think it looks pretty decent:

Actually, I wouldn't mind having one added to my stable but couldn't see an SRT instead of my ACR. I sold my '03. Chris, you have by far posted the best SRT pictures to date. Fuck, now I have to apologize twice in a row. I saw somebody on this thread make one of their first posts here and they just bought a 2004. And I thought, "Shit, they won't stick around long when they see how vocal the SRT-haters are around here." And I really, really want to see this site continue to succeed for various reasons. By now there are probably 1500+ SRT Viper owners out there and I know of only two that post here regularly (Clark and myself). I would like to see that change, because I do think that despite the watered-down looks, Viper owners share a common bond in some VERY serious American muscle.
Sadly, even though many try to argue otherwise, the VCA site still is superior for technical information - and most certainly on the SRT. I don't think you see SRT owners bashing the Gen I/II even if they have never owned a Viper before. And while it is "just their personal opinion", would you want to hang out where people constantly insult the car in which you invested a boatload of blood, sweat, and tears? Personal opinions or not, it scares off a heck of a lot of people that I think could add to this site. Oh yeah, and they are fellow Viper owners.
