I think it's the boost number that's off. I can believe everything else about this scenario but that. I think RSI950 posted a page or so back that his Paxton setup produced 13 psi with a larger pulley than what Matt is running, and I think Matt also said in a previous post that he was getting 12 psi at around 4,800-5,000 rpm when they were first getting started (and we all know centrifugals build boost in a linear fashion). So 16-17 psi would jive with those comments and also would explain the peak numbers. What do you say Torque?
yeah 2 Vipairs might do it
Red - to get 885rwhp from 412rwhp would take 18.5lb boost MINIMUM on a blower and even then it assumes the intercooler is efficient enough to allow full power timing advance.... To get that power from 17lb allows no losses at all - only realistic with TT not driving a pump.
Remember the higher the boost the more heat, therefore the efficiency of the intercooler tapers off at a certain point.
If Kevin would come on and explains how he added 130rwhp the mystery would be solved - I think it comes down to either an extra power adder or a break-thru in known automotive technology that is unknown to anyone else.
LOL. You guys are to funny. Ok the truth is..........
aliens came one night and hooked me up with some technology we have not even thught of yet.
I don't know, upon looking at the video, the dyno run didn't look all that violent, juts looks like the blower is spun up and takes a while to get there.
I've seen videos of DLM cars with 250 more HP at 2,500 RPM with slightly less HP on the top end that just look like it's going dig a 10' trench right there on the spot.. Anyone else notice that?

I was thinking the same thing. I had to have people sit on the back of my car to keep the wheels from spinning on the Dyno. Of course, he said his was all stock, so it wouldn't sound as monsterous as mine or others that have exhaust and other stuff done to it, right?
This is worse than fucking religion. First a miricle happens. Then the prophit is sent forth to spread the word.
The creator doesnt need us and he wont bless us with an apperance to explain everthing.

Manny, your nitrous car IS Violent on the dyno. That power hits NOW.
When my car was on the dyno, it never spun the tires. The centrifugal blower builds boost as the rpm's go up. I see no problem with the tires not spinning.
Other supercharged guys have complained about spinning the tires on the dyno; maybe they should tighten the straps a bit more!
I wonder if Jason Hefner had a problem with his turbo car spinning the tires on the dyno as it makes its peak torque at 3500 RPM......
"........Thanks, put over 300 on her Sat night racing and beating the hell out of the car with no issues."
Yes traction is a major fucking issue. Race from 3rd and even at that only half throttle easing into it. Amazing once it hooks how fast it can cover ground though. Still have not had the nerve to pull all the way through 4th.
Matt, spinning the tires in 1st, 2nd and 3rd is no big deal for any of the supercharger cars here.
"Still have not had the nerve to pull all the way through 4th."
You still have not had the nerve to pull all the way through 4th? Beating on the car?
==> I think you need to re-define the word "Beating".
Spinning 1st, 2nd and most of 3rd and not going through 4th is not my idea of "beating" on the car.
Tell me you did a standing mile or 100-200 MPH pull on the highway over and over with no issues. That would be a "beating".
I would love to see you do a long highway pull in Texas or on Video.
Just cancel whatever you have planned and go to Texas!
All else without answering questions draws attention to the general feeling something does not add up here.
HEY PAOLO - DID YOU EVER SEE "MONTY PYTHON'S HOLY GRAIL"? THERE IS A SCENE WHERE THE MOB SAYS, "SHE'S A WITCH, BURN HER!" AT WHICH POINT SOMEBODY ASKS THE QUESTION, "HOW DO YOU KNOW SHE'S A WITCH?"
AND SOME GUY PROCEDES TO ANSWER THE QUESTION USING A LOT OF INTERESTING COMPARISONS TO REACH HIS CONCLUSION. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS SCENE OR THIS MOVIE, YOU REALLY SHOULD RENT IT, ITS HILLARIOUS!
HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING.
John,
"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night....... I guess it's pretty serious....."
I know the scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail, That is funny!
Not sure wha the fuck you are implying b/c I am a slow redneck. However if you are implying that anything I have posted is not the truth it all can be backed up. My sisters cousins b/f told me that you would cry the most on here. LOL
Matt, John was talking about a movie, I added a long ridiculous movie quote to John's movie reference, that's all.
As far as being a redneck is concerned, ==> You said it, not me.
The people who know me here know I will always decline from implying anything.
==>If I have something to say to you I will do so as I have done here so far.
A far as my crying on here is concerned, I just state the facts. It's up to the nonbiased interpretation of the person having the facts laid down in front of them which determines whether they will cry or not.
I will say this, you are full of shit that you have made 885 RWHP/850 RWTQ on a stock 412 RWHP motor with stock manifolds on 13 PSI.
==> I repeat: FULL OF SHIT.
I have tried to reason according to the laws of forced induction, volumetric efficiency/etc... You just answer with B.S. or "call Kevin."
Like I said, if you were to show up at the dyno and lay down the #'s you're quoting with everything stock except the fuel system and run a kick ass time at the dragstrip and fast as shit highway roll-ons, I will be the first one to shake your hand. But until I see it with my own eyes I say you are full of shit.
If you want to back up all you have said, come to Texas, otherwise this has been an entertaining thread of fantasy as far as I am concerned.

That's the thing. I've seen videos of DLM cars putting out nearly 800RWHP at 2,700 RPM or 3,000RPM. On the dyno, they look and sound like a controlled hurricane. That's tuning/technology/tricks of the trade for you. Getting that power down low rather than spin a blower up, is abig difference. Seeing that dyno run just confirms a smaller pulley and just dumping fuel into the motor.
not jealous, mines held together for 30k + miles, just trying to figure this out. It just doesn't add up.
Let me ask you this Gerald, what compression ratio does your engine have?
How much lower than stock is it?
What is the max PSI ( a measurement of restriction within the engine, not flow volume) that you see while driving?
