Anyone looking for a low mileage GTS this is probably the one for you. Still wrapped in plastic. Legendary motor car has it for sale just google them since I can't post there url and look under there inventory.
I always think about whether super low mile cars increase the risk of problems compared to high mileage cars. I think having a car like this with 8-10k miles is better. unless your a collector that is.
Well the original window sticker for my car in 1996 was over $92,000 CDN. Yes these cars are selling well below list 17 years later but $70,000 for basically a new car 17 yrs later doesn't seem to outrages. I just put it here because everyone has there favorite Viper and how often are you going to find a 17 year old car that is still basically new. Maybe someone who loved the car but at that time couldn't afford one now may have the chance to purchase it. When you think of what some muscle cars sold for years ago and are selling for now maybe this is still a bargain compared to what they might be selling for in the future.
Agree... but obviously the buyer will lose is shirt if he plans to drive the car. The average guy that wanted this car new but can only afford it now is probably not the well healed collector that will wind up with the car. It is a great find for a true collector in that it's a 96 and not a 97 like a 92 > 93.
Looking at the future value of money. If you had invested $60,000.00 in 1996 at 4%, today you would have @112K.
Summary
FV (future value) $112,378.87
PV (present value) $60,000.00
N (number of compounding periods) 16.000
I/Y (interest rate per compounding period) 4.000
PMT (annuity payment, or constant periodic cash flow) $0.00
starting investment $60,000.00
total principal $60,000.00
total interest $52,378.87
Could buy any 1996 for that.
Even the Ford GT. If you bought a 2005 for $170,000.00, you'd have about $232K today.
FV (future value) $232,656.74
PV (present value) $170,000.00
N (number of compounding periods) 8.000
I/Y (interest rate per compounding period) 4.000
PMT (annuity payment, or constant periodic cash flow) $0.00
starting investment $170,000.00
total principal $170,000.00
total interest $62,656.74
The GT has almost held its value.
