Trying to change my fluid and noticed there is not a drain plug on my new GEn 2 diff...so, is there a how to or easy tips on putting one in real quick?
You can also drill thru the bottom rear diff bolt hole. 1/4" drill at a slight up angle into the fluid chamber, then let it drain. It will drain slower, but you will get all the fluid out. Seal it back by putting Ultra Hi-temp copper RTV on the bolt threads.
knocked it out yesterday...just bought a simple drill and tap set at pepboys, pushed some fluid through there till clean, then sealed her back up...took all of 30 minutes start to finish
