It comes down to how much you drive. PS2's have quite a nice tread rating versus something like R888's that wont last you as long but give superior grip and they're in the same price bracket as the BFG's and Invos. You'll end up replacing the PS2's due to age rather then wear if you not putting a great deal of mileage on your car.
Although I have no personal experience with BFG's . I would opt for either PS2's or R888.
if youre tires are that old any NEW tire will be a huge difference. id only ever use PS2's personally but a lot of guys use the BFG's and love them. if its a stock power car and you are not tracking it, go with the BFG.
Yes, they're worth it. The BFGs aren't terrible tires. However, the extra cash buys you a tire that grips better, is much quieter, and rides a bit better.
