Ha ha... Mine is at 6psi... I would love to crush a rocket, been my all time goal.
Good work Scotty ! I got two great tuners I'm going to throw both in the room and see what happens! so it this the highest stock motor that hasn't blown up anyone knows about? Witch is plenty! But nice to know what 1000 is safe an long as tune is good.

Doc1's Front mount T-6 Billet 80mm front mount TT setup has seen 30 PSI @ the track and the Pro EFI datalogged 1550 crank HP at the 30 PSI.
With big hot sides and a safe tune, a bone stock 1996-1999 motor can hold a lot!
As far a crushing a rocket goes, I have had one of my cast piston builds put over 20 cars on a GSX-R 1000 from a 70-180+ roll on 93 pump + water-meth and 15 PSI. Again big hot sides and bog exhaust wheel is a lot easier on the motor!

I feel like a little kid in a candy store! I'm just getting finished getting all the bugs worked out of this older RSI setup and like to get some time out of it before getting some work done too it. I talk to Will @ RSI before I made this post cause I was freaking out that I was on borrowed time . I gotta get a clutch in it then off to the dyno for tuning. Well have to see if I have enough fuel pump , should be close with that aeromotive eliminater external ... So what about valve springs? Those retainers and spring are kinda hokie to say the least...

What do you recommend ? you would have been embarrassed been seen in this thing last fall... Had an Acura with a turbo 6 cyl v-tec give me a run... Not good! But on the other hand side by side with a cobra making 764whp! Im listening and thanks for the help guys!

I put Roe Racing stock replacement valvesprings in my car just for assurance. They are cheap, work with your existing retainers, and are a good safe guard against valve float with their added seat and open pressure.

I had a head off cause i though a valve got bent.... T&D rocker ate the baffle in the valve cover and pushrod was off to the side! So i put it back together and it still had a miss, pulled the head checked the valve and it was straight ! Fired it up, still had a miss! Readjusted the rockers and ran perfect! So this is making sense! I seen crower cams make springs with titanium retainers for like 1600 bucks.... Though that was too much. Ill call this roe right now. Thanks for the heads up!
