I remember a little while back, someone else posting pics of their red gts that they had the top painted or wrapped red. Was that you or someone else? Anyway, I don't hate it, though, I have to say it kinda reminds me of my first car that was red with a black top, a 94 t-topped camaro.
with the black wheels it looks good, better than i thought, when mine gets painted and goes from black to grey, i was going to get the tail light panel done flat black, but that looks pretty good like maybe i could leave my roof alone and just get it buffed. my old 240sx hatch was dark grey metalic, with a black roof, and i always like that look
I like it, though as others have said it makes the hood look very plain. The hard part is doing anything else to it and not ruin what you've done so far. If you a "photoshoper" then you can upload some pics of the car and play around before you committed anything to the actual car...
Want to put my own touch on the car ( that isnt the common strips) since I'm putting in the S/C and heads. Want it to look as means as the engine will be. Had a buddy that's trying to start his business do it for 250. Figured if I didn't like it I could peel it off. Really sets of the black wheels off. Hope you guys like it
That $250 could have bought you some new pushrods. You were begging for someone to buy your heads for $650 as you needed the cash, then you do this and you still don't have a car that is running. Looks better than I thought it would and I will echo a couple of others by saying the black wheels definitely help. In the end, do what you want and don't look for social encouragement (unless she's smokin' hot and is dtf)
i think the black wheels are what makes it work, with silver wheels it would look strange. kinda reminds me of a eagle talon though, didnt htey have black roof and black hatch/wing on dark green and red cars?
Just bustn' your chops! You have to expect it when you throw it out there like that. In the end, your opinion is the only one that matters. I like the classic GTS stripes myself. Black stripes on a red car with black wheels looks fantastic and is not seen very often in the West Coast. Just a thought.
