Other methods of removing harmonic balancer

So after breaking 3 of the balancer bolt holes im at a loss on how to take the balancer off, I was using a standard 3 bolt puller by I don’t think that’s going to work. Is there another way to take this thing off? Its like its welded on there, Should I hit it with a map torch and use like a finger type puller?

what grade of bolts are you using with the puller?

Based on the pictures of your finger you posted, my recommendation would be for you to find someone else to do it.

I take it it's a harmonic balancer puller you're using? You didn't tighten up the crankbolt too much did you? Recently pulled mine off and forgot to leave room between the crank bolt and balancer so it can be pulled off. Just a thought...should not be that hard.

i use a 3 finger puller ment for a gm balancer. if you are using the bolt type puller and you dont have the bolts even, it breaks the ears off, our guys did it alot, then i got the 3 finger type ment for gm ls and truck engines, and some newer chrysler and it works pretty good, its bit harder to start, since the fingers try to fall off until it pulls tight

Are you using a hammer on the puller. I used a three bolt puller and it came off fairly easy, but, I used a hammer on the puller as the bolts were being tightened,
