I am looking to have my fuel door refinished due to the typical wear and tear on the latch side. Just wondering what is the best route to go with? Power coating? Re-chrome? Any other options?
I just took mine apart and dropped it off to get powder coated. I was able to save 2 of the 3 plastic rods that hold it together. Guess I'll have to use a bolt and nut for the other one
had mine powder coated black, and the latch green.
i drilled the end off the plastic rods and pushed them out, they are kind like a rivit with the ends flared, but the one carries a spring, so dont drill the square side.

That's what I noticed. My issue is on the latch assembly the clear has warn away and chipped. Debating if I should call it "ware and tear" or just refer to it as "patina" like they do on TV.
