I have a lot of heat coming up from under the doors and it burned the paint in both sides, in addition the temp. Is very hi and goes to the max, my fan is working but not doing a dam thing
put a 170 degree thermostat in there... put some cats on it.... MAKE SURE YOUR FAN IS SWITCHING TO HIGH SPEED MODE!!! flush out your radiator... and make sure no coolant lines are clogged.
and if your cars temp goes all the way up.. stop letting it get there.. or you will be dealing with bigger problems
92-93 cars do not have a fenderwell mounted coolant surge tank. IT IS EXTREMELY CRITICAL TO RAISE THE FRONT END HIGH AND BURP THESE COOLANT SYSTEMS TO THE MAX.
If the coolant recovery bottle behind the right foglight is low or empty, it will cause the motor to suck air into the coolant system. If the coolant bottle is empty, it may have a hole in it from a fascia bolt puncture and will continue to gulp air after burping and driving.
If the t-stat is not opened, you will not get free flow of trapped air from the system when burping it. If you try to open a full-warm radiator, you might get burned. If you try to run your car to warm it up with the front end sufficiently raised to bleed air, you could have an oil starvation problem.
If the cats are plugged, it will cause the engine to run very warm or overheat. You could have all problems going concurrently.
'92-'93 Vipers have different temp gauge markings than later model cars. The needles tend to run closer to the yellow area more often - especially in hot weather and slow speeds.

Here is what I did in the past 8 month
Change the radiator
Thermostat and its housing with hoses
Removed the cads completely
Changed upper and lower gasket
Hooked the fan up with the start switch

Everyone seems focused on mechanical issues, while not giving much credence to the simple things like making sure steam pockets in the heads aren't the culprit. Having owned a '93 purchased brand-new, I will once again say that burping the cooling system is a MAJOR thing that shouldn't be overlooked. Some even went as far as putting a Schrader valve in the heater core lines atop the passenger footbox to make sure there wasn't any air trapped up high.
I also had problems with a stuck thermostat that popped a hose on the back of the motor one day. It was repaired under warranty.
