I am thinking of sticking with single din so that i dont have to deal with screens flipping up and blocking anything. I am also wishing I had a parking camera as its been a chore to park. The best solution I could find so far is the kenwood 3.5" screen. downside is it doesnt have a cd player but then again i havent used the cd player in over a year in my viper anyways.
anyone have experience with this headunit? sounds like I will need to splice to wire this headunit up. I wanted to avoid that but not sure if avoiding it is possible on any head unit these days. can I keep the stock amp while using this new head unit?
Its a great head unit aside from the fact you'll need to route the wires from the back of the unit to connect an mp3 player. No frontal usb or aux ports.
I'm curious as to how the stocker is removed? Is it necessary to remove the dash?
Pulling the factory radio is simple, but the wiring may not be for some. There are no plug & play connector like there are for most cars.
There are a bunch of write ups if you se the search.
bluetooth is a great thing fellas, thats what i use kenwood single din with bluetooth. All my music and phone right through the deck, came with a mic for hands free also.
