Michelin PS2's Or BFG KDW 2's Tires

Just picked up so gen 2 18" rt/10 wheels and now I need new tires. Have a suggestion between the two? I do not track the car it is only a street car. Car is only driven in nice weather. Are the Michelins worth the extra $550?

Between those two I would recommend the PS2's. Although personally I would go with R888's, they have ridiculous grip and ride great.

Kdw's will work fine if you're just driving around. I used them when I ran nitrous and never had any issue hooking 700tq.

i have the kdw's on my paxton gts and they seem to work well. when my car was totally stock with just smooth tubes, i was able to pull off a 12.45 on the kdw's in the quarter.

I use the PS2's and like them. I used them with nitrous and if i would bring down the PSI of the tire to lower 20's they hooked and i could run high 11's with 700 RWTQ and Over 500RWHP. They also have hooked very well on the street and on road courses. I have had KDW's on a 2000 camaro with nitrous and those things hooked amazing but i only had 420RWHP and like 500 RWTQ. I think both are great tires and you couldn't go wrong with either.

My only concern with the KDW's is noise. Have heard several people talk about them being very loud.

Loud is relative.I can't hear anything over my exhaust. If super sports become available in viper sizes, that is what I would try next.

You have a viper and you're concerned about noise?
