Original tires from 97?

Guys, I just purchased a 97 RT and I believe the tires are still original. The codes are:

DOT FH5U AR8X096 for the front and FH6U AUDX525 on the rear. Am I reading that correctly?

Any feedback?

If those are the actual original tires take them off ASAP and save yourself hassle down the road. Tires are cheaper to replace as opposed to repairing a wrecked Viper.

I think those tires are from 95/96 based on what I've read on tire date codes

You will get 100 unanimous responses. Change the tires or crash/potentially die. We're not overstating this. Driving a Viper on old tires is like handling a gun with a barrels facing in every direction and a trigger set off by Congress's lies.

I hope you know how to ice skate (without skates) if you keep those tires on.

That is one hilarious line, I will be looking for a reason to use it in the very near future!

Check with Dmoney, he drives on his original tires, so does Yomoney, that cat is wack, but the one to really not listen to is Pmoney because he only drives backwards on his original tires, but that's just Pmoney, you get my drift?

I just changed out tires on my car that were 9 years old and it make it handle so much better. You have no idea how bad they are until you replace them.

If you end up getting the separately, get some Michelin PS2's.

Here's a list from the site.

Take your car to a track/drift event. Don't be a pussy and properly dispose of those tires into the atmosphere.

You can have some fun with the old tires before you get the new ones. They break loose very easily.
