I just got mine back after a 3 day extensive paint correction and detail. Then they added something called Opti-coat...basically an applied clear. Supposed to be more resistant to dust/scratches/swirls than the soft factory clear...and no polishing/waxing for up to a year.
We'll see.
That looks awesome
Did DetailWerkz do it?
Ive been debating either doing that or wrapping in Satin black.
Greetings for my first post. I am a 2nd owner of a "garage queen" 99 viper that was detailed like crap for its whole life. I can't post links yet but I have pics on the Adam's forums what I was able to do with the Adam's porter cable kit and 3 step correction. I've moved on to the Flex but the PC is a fine tool. It won't make it museum piece perfect, but certainly good enough as a start.
DAMN wood! that is a hell of a difference. Gotta love a black car. especially when it's swirl less. PM me the charge for that service. my car is silver, but I'm sure it would benefit from it.
Just as a $$ comparison you can do a stripe package for $1.5 to $2.5K. Not that you want to stripe your car, but at the end of that you would basically have a new finish over the car, assuming the stripe package included clear over the stripes. So, $1K worth of correction work is starting to get close to the cost of re-clearing the car. If there is a local body shop you trust, you might want to run this by them for their opinion. I would think $500 worth of paint correction work to be a no brainer, but $1K is not so clear cut of a decision in my opinion.
I'd feel better paying $500. I have a friend that does paint work and he painted my entire Trans Am with custom artwork for $2500 lol. I know you get what you pay I was just curious on a base line price. Thanks!
Hey guys, I was made aware of this thread and thought I would chime in.

Woods was no where near the 1k mark. The ENTIRE process start to finish took a total of 22 hours. Also remember there are custom packages that I put together, especially for repeat clients.
Wood, glad you're happy with it. You should post up the direct sun pictures. Those don't lie and tell the true story.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! Love these cars!
