Hey guys, I'm currently testing out a set of HID's from Blown408(provided through Gotham Cycles) and all I can say is they look astonishing. It took me roughly 20 minutes per side to complete this mod and it was very straightforward. I went with 6k's and they are a very nice bright white with a slight tint of blue. The overall light output is increased substantially over the factory setup.
This is how I went about installing the HID's
Step 1: Remove the clips holding the dust guard in place
Step 2: Removed the 4 screws from the back of the headlight housing
Step 3: Turn counter-clockwise to remove the old bulb then remove the clip holding the bulb to the factory wiring
Step 4: Connect the new bulb to the factory wiring(make sure to match the blue wire to the red and black to black) but leave the bulb in the protective case and out of its installed position for the time being
Step 5: I recommend testing the headlight to make sure the wires are connected properly
Step 6: Insert the new bulb and turn clock-wise to lock it into place
Step 7: Mount the HID ballast via zip ties onto the 2 post present in the headlight housing
Step 8: Consolidate your wiring by attaching a zip tie( this will help to insure the wiring stays within the housing when you begin to re-attach the back of the headlight housing
Step 9: Re-install the back of the headlight housing and dust guard
Looks great, glad we could get you all hooked up I am running the 6k in mine as well. Earbrillion is waiting on his 8k bulbs to come in and then he will have pictures so we can see the difference on the Viper.
What a difference in light output! My ebay HID kit is crap, looking forward to installing these to see the difference. They have excellent customer service!!
Does anyone know where i can get the correct HID FOG LIGHT kit for my viper? i had purchased a fog light HID kit from HIDXENONCONVERSION.com and a week after i installed them.. a HID light went out. The bulbs were to long and actually touched the glass lens of the fog light.. guesing.. thats why the light blew out due to immense vibration off the glass...
I am business partners with the owner of Gotham Cycles here in Florida. I am the HID guy for one and for two take care of online sales for him and can get you a kit for your fogs no problem
Hey I will shoot you a pm but we sell them for $170 shipped USPS priority. We have 6k and I think one set of 8k in stock. Two year warranty, laser etched with our logo and tiny. We only use AC current ballasts to prevent flickering and prolong the bulb life. I know its a small feature but it heats the bulb up to max output quicker and less bulb outages.

The size is H3 if I remember correctly, and the highs/lows are 9005.
What may have happened is that there is a metal shield in the foglight that is in the shape of a half-circle, and it blocks the top half of the bulb. When I installed the HIDs on my 1998 the bulb touched the metal shield. If you reach in there with a screwdriver you can bend it out slightly and it should work. If you have to push very hard on it the bulb is way too long and the wrong size.
When I did research I found that the Philips brand had some really great reviews, so I purchased a set of those. What I didn't realize was that the set I was buying wasn't actually a Philips-brand HID kit, but rather a kit that used the Philips patent.
I'd rather go with a board member that stands behind his product, but if you decide to go another route be aware that a lot of companies will call themselves Philips when in actuality they're using the Philips HID patent in their product. If you make the same mistake I did, enjoy the Engrish you'll be reading

Thanks Jason, great resource. Any advice on brand or where to buy LED equivalents? I found superbrightleds.com, but don't have any prior experience with them.

I couldn't tell you. My car was done when I got it.
I will advise against doing the dome light. It's probably just the bulbs in my car, but it's dim as shit and it's hard to see. The exterior lights definitely look cool though, especially the rear of the car with the license plate light, tail lights, reverse lights, etc.
The 55w kits always have battery harness relay kit with them, are you sure thats not just a 35w kit?
Not necessary, I have been selling HIDs for years and trust me this is not a 35w kit. You should not have to run a harness relay unless you have something like a BMW or Mercedes that throw codes. At that point I just sell the Canbus kits with built in relays.
