Comp Coupe Video on StreetFire.net is that Nadine?
I went over to the StreetFire.net on the recommendation of that thread in the Gen I/II board and while over there linked to the site with the Gen I vid. I then saw what I thought was Henny's record setting black comp coupe, so I watched the video. In the video, there's little of the comp coupe, but at the end there's a familiar face and I could only think it's our Nadine at Silverstone this year.
Is that her? She's a helluva driver, but I thought she only has a Blue n White GTS?
According to the drivers / car lineup on the Time Attack Series - Official Website website, she is the only competitor driving a Viper..... She is in the N/A class......
"In the Club N/A class we saw the welcome return to Time Attack of Nadine Geary of Dodge Viper fame, Silverstone being a power circuit, suited the Viper and Nadine down to the ground and her times certainly proved it! Starting the day with just a mere 1 second lead over the other N/A cars she astounded everyone with a fantastic 1:06.312 in the final, just over 4 seconds ahead"
yes its Nadine running in the TimeAttack series, the last couple of years Nad used her GTS in this series, but this year she's borrowing a UK members CC which is more competitve
Its a televised series on Sky, the next race is at Knockhill in Scotland, not an ideal circuit for a CC, but Nadine has had a couple of trackdays there so she knows the circuit pretty well
Nadine missed the first round as she pulled her back the night before the race, prepping the CC she does all the work, maintenance and setting up too ! This car gets used at all sorts of events and Nad won an airfield 1 mile race a couple of weekends ago, it reached 184mph
I was lucky enough to have a few passenger laps with Nad driving it back in January, its an awesome car and has unbelievable handling and braking power. There's some more pics here which i took at another trackday at Silverstone a few months ago
Nadine did really well winning th NA class, Knockhill isnt ideal for a CC its tight and twisty, espically in the wet.
Last I watched Nad lap at around a 58 seconds in her own S/C GTS in the dry
Unfortunately missing the first race means Nad is unable to gain enough points now to win this years series,
Brands Hatch is the next circuit to hold the event
Jay I've not been about much on the forums have I (there's reasons for that)!
I've been doing alot with Vipers, but, don't like to blow my own trumpet either.
I missed the first race because the AH's at Oreca sent me wrong parts, over here we have to order all parts through them, their service is crap, they can't even communicate in good english. Some parts I was waiting on, they ordered from USA for me, and then took them as spares on thieir race truck to Italy, then charged me extra to express deliver them maybe if I phone Viper race HQ they will be able to their poor service in the right direction, or at least let me order from USA?
