Well with what I'm about to post I'll disregard some comments already posted. As much as I love Vipers...and yes any 800 TT viper and up...against any mustang is probably a joke, have ya'll seen the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 KR600 Hennessey posted on E-Bay???

Yes we all know there are some Vipers that can run in the high 7's in the 1/4 mile, but I'd say this is a nice Mustang they put together.
Don't get me wrong I would take a Viper over a Mustang any day, but we as Viper Enthusiasts must realize that Dodge was formed by breaking away from Ford. And in my personal opinion I believe Mr. Shelby and Mr. Hennessey have both contributed a lot more towards the automotive industry compared to what people really have given them credit for. And even though some companies have parted their separate ways, they still try and help contribute toward each other’s projects.
If I read this correctly:
John Force accomplished a 4.72 sec 1/4 mile run with a Ford Mustang funny car.
And his teammate Gary Densham accomplished a 327.43 mph run with a Mustang funny car.
Looks like someone forgot to read their Motor Trend.
Hopefully one day someone will come out with a Dodge Viper funny car.
But right now I'd be on the look out for someone like Gale Banks. According to what I hear he is currently trying to bring diesel fueled engines to light weight cars...or for now should I say trucks. Pretty funny, but realistically these vehicles should be extremely fast. Faster than you would think. Then after that I can almost bet my bottom dollar electric cars will take over the speed category.

Shelby is a great guy. Hennessey stole hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars from viper owners and is a complete waste of life. He builds hack jobs hunks of shit that haven't done anything impressive compared to the big tuners.
You didn't really try to make an analogy that a funnycar has anything to do with a 'mustang'. It's whatever the fuck sticker they put on it, it could say fiat or yugo and not a single part would be less relevant to the brand than it already is.
