My car only has a few mods - DCTune/170 Stat; 3.55 Gears, Green Filters, Corsa Track; PS2's
Got four runs in. All runs were between 12.05 and 12.001, so at least I'm consistent. The first three runs I went in the 123mph range, but we then sat for 90 minutes waiting for the track to be cleaned up (many oil spills yesterday), so my car had plenty of time to cool off. The last run I went 124.65, which is a new best mph for me.
Previously the car went 11.85/119.xx at Atco, but yesterday my best 60' was 1.95 - over a tenth slower. I was also was spinning about 5-10 feet when shifting into second - no powershifting at all. I guess that's why I didn't go 11's. Quite a few people did mention the lack of traction.
Still beats the hell out of working, which is what I usually do on Saturday's, and it was a beautiful day, so I'm not bitchin'.
That's it. Hope everyone's having a good Memorial Day Weekend. Time for Beer.

Not necessarily. I've always heard Cecil was a tenth quicker than Atco. Especially in the cooler temps as they are at or below sea level - mine shaft air!
This past weekend I don't think that was the case. I think the lack of really good traction in the first 330' was the problem.

From my experience, Capital Raceway is faster than Cecxil County. There is a All Muscle Car event at Capital on 6/29. You ought to come down and be the 2nd Viper at the track.
Here is a link to the event. We should try to get other VA members to race. http://corvetteclubofamerica.org/Doc...r_Flyer_V2.pdf
thats a great trap speed for so little in mods! the 60' is the most important every tenth you get in the 60 you get double that in the quarter with a dr you should get some 1.5s-1.6s and power shifting will help you could get a 10.9 to 11.2 with nothing but a tune and gears.

Actually, we're trying to get to the track a couple of times before the weather gets too hot. Chances are by the end of June, we'll be done with the strip until Fall.

I've pulled low 1.8's before, but I think I'm still a bit gunshy since I snapped a half-shaft last month. Didn't feel like waiting on a wrecker this weekend.
I should've powershifted 3rd and 4th, and probably would have got into the 11's.
