Thanks to all the Viper Club folks that showed up at the event. Special thanks to all of our customers who participated. DC Performance prepared Vipers were the top three winners in the Viper Drag races.
Hugh Hoard 97GTS 9.08 154mph
Howard Segal 2003 SRT 9.48 146mph (Driver Lyle Larson)
Rick Hollis 2000 RT/10 10.72 139mph (Drove from LA to Vegas and Back)
Considering the altitude and heat at the track, these are some good numbers.
Dad was out there. Had a good time as usual. It's always fun for him when the other racers from the 60's/70's come out. Although I would like to kick the shit out of the nutless wonder that stole the poster of my dad that was to be given to him. The only two that got stolen were my dad's and ronnie sox's. I'll be checking ebay, winning the auction and then picking it up in person.

The correct time for Howard Segal is a 9.48 @ 147.83 MPH tHE 1/8 Mile times were 6.14 @ 117.60 this is uncorrected. This is was the quickest and fastest Viper at the event, WITH OUT NITROUS OXIDE.....................Lyle Larson
Thanks for the response. It was a fun weekend for everyone.
In response to the power upgrades on the cars.
The SRT that ran the 9.48 is a Paxton Supercharged car with an automatic 3 speed transmission.
What is really neat about this car is that it is street legal with AC, stock interior and NHRA legal to run into 8's. From my understanding it is the fastest NHRA legal SRT in the world, That makes us really proud. The car is owned by Howard Segal.
The GTS that ran 9.08 is a long time car of ours that has run in just about every type of road racing event for the past 10 years. It has a old school CDI motor with a non-intercooled Vortec setup, NOS and a Powerglide. It is owned by Hugh Hoard.
The RT/10 that ran a 10.72 and back and forth to Vegas uses an EED (Thanks Kevin S) motor with a Paxton blower. This car has 68,000 miles on it and the customer drives it every day. It is owned by Rick Hollis.
We have always been focused on Road Racing in the past, but are having fun with this drag race stuff. It would be neat to get into the 8's and maybe 7's with a couple cars. It really is something different and a challenge to us. Our customers are really excited.
