Some speculate that he injects his ankles with WD40, others just throw their hands up in the air and abandon an explanation. His newest claim is that he hit 11.1 in the 1/4 mile with his "bone stock" Z06, with stock tires. Apparently, he is an admired man, yet I'm going to erect the BS flag, once and for all. How does his twinkle toed technique amount to the equivalent of 150hp? A Z06 is normally an 11.8 1/4 mile car, yet he has knocked off 7/10 of a second? I can't be sure but I have strong suspicions that "Twinkle Toes" prances out, ever so gingerly, in the middle of the night with a head porting tool. What do some of you more experienced drag racers think? Is Ranger for real? Is he a corvette hero?
If "Twinkle Toes" is that good, it means that there is approximately a 1 second variation in 1/4 mile times for that car. This essentially means that 1/4 mile time comparisons between a Viper and a Z06 are meaningless, simply because there is a hell of a lot more room for driver preferences and/or error than there is between the performance of these 2 cars, '06 or '08 Viper. Maybe that is why I kicked the piss out of 2 Z06's with my stock Viper coupe.
So now , every John Do with a Z06 thinks his/hers runs 11.1, becasue Ranger did it.
What I find more incredible, is that Ranger aways gets the fastest cars, I mean he did the same on a C-5 z06, and now the C-6. This guy never gets a "slow" factory car.

That's because "slow" factory cars were "coined" with that connotation from guys that drive like Joe Dell. BAM!!!

Not sure where the confusion is?
I had a 2004 Z06 With Stage II heads/cam. Car put down 428rwhp.
All Ranger has to do is prove that his times are not exclusive to his own car. In other words, run Joe Schmoe's stock Z06 to a similar time and trap speed. If he fails to do so and can ONLY pull it off in his personal car, then something is fishy. Otherwise, he proves that his skill alone is capable of bettering everyone else's times by over half a second in the 1/4 mile and he is the 1/4 mile hero that he is hyped up to be. God bless "Twinkle Toes"!!!
Of course, if he proves himself, then we will have to recruit him over to our team, through whatever means necessary and those Hooter pigs might just be the bait we need.
