Just wanted to post a quick congrats to all of the competitors that came out to the TX Mile! I also wanted to say that I had the chance to hang out with Jason Heffner, Gary Javo and Ray Hoffman and they are truly a great group of guys to hang with! It was nice seeing Jason again after seeing him last at TX2K5 (I think), he is just as friendly and nice as I remember a few years ago. It was also nice meeting Gary in person for the first time, I must say, Gary too is a class act who was fun hanging with. And as always, Ray is about as solid a guy as you could ever meet! Anyhow, on the results:
1. Tommy Banh Toyota Supra - 228.7 mph
2. SVS TT Viper - 223.5 mph
3. Ray Hoffman Heffner TT Ford GT - 222.2 mph
4. Eddie Bello 993 Porsche - 219 mph
5. Gary Javo Heffner TT GTS Viper - 212 mph
6. Kelly Martin Heffner TT SRT-10 Viper - 205 mph
Hope to see you all again at TX2K8 and the next TX Mile event in March 2008!
Peter

Thanks Houston, looks like some pretty solid efforts put out on the line. Man... Supra beating all the Vipers by at least 5+ mile an hour. That car must have really been preped well for this event.
Viper - there was no prep actually on the Supra. It's a full weight car...has non-turbo brakes in back to fit the 15 inch drag radials and nothing special beyond that. The car has some more left in it as he left 200 rwhp on the table.
Ripper - yes, Jason Heffner and team had a very impressive showing. They were all a CLASS ACT and welcomed everyone with a smile, it was a pleasure hanging with those guys today...
Ripper - just make sure that you make it to TX2K8 in March! I will try to coordinate so that it's within a week of the next TX Mile event, that way you can make a week out of it!
I will also say that Gary's car (Big Red) had some freak issues that really prevented him from running an ALL OUT pass. His car would have rocked had he been able to go all out on a full pass...
Thats the first full picture of big red iv seen, assuming thats what it is! All cars look awsome. It will be many years till im able to have a ride worth taking, but it would awsome to just go watch one of these years!
Casey, you should have seen the "under hood" of "Big Red". Simply beautiful! I have a pic but do not want to post it until Gary OK's it...
Peter
I can imagine. Gary and heffner build some awsome stuff? Anymore pictures of kellys car with that top on it? I really like the looks of that darker supra with the black wheels too.
I thought I would add just a few photos from the event that we took. It was a blast. It was my first "mile" event. For me, the outcome was pretty satisfactory. We didn't hit 250, but came fairly close.
Sounds like it was a sick event. Those results are INSANE! And 242 on a bike........I don't even know what to say to that one. The three Heffner Vipers look great.
The red supercharged gts belongs to a Corpus Christi man named Dan. He did 197 mph. RSI did his work. and just recently took it to A.R.T. In Buda Tx. for a good tune.

Maybe I'll bring a car next year, too
Nice riding Ben. It was good to se you out there and to say that your performance was impressive would be a gross understatement. I hope to see you again soon.

Very awesome results for the first trip to the mile!
I'll make it down there for an event sooner or later. I'd like to put a small sprocket and see what it's got in it...
