I was at Little River , a very old beat up track near Temple Tx. on Sat night and this old guy wins $50.00 in his bug , he said it runs 11.9 in the 1/4 and I saw it go 12.2 in practice. He said that he changes the plugs twice a year and it has a VW tranny that he modded. The guy must be pushing 80 yrs old and his name is Kermit.... , pretty cool...........
we toasted the tranny on the Cuda that we brought.................

It is cool to see an old guy tearing it up at the track. That reminds me, a little while back I took the jeep to a mud pit in Azuza to mess around and there was a really nice old FJ just ripping through about 3 feet of mud. The FJ sounded like a big V8 and was on 44s. After a while, an old dude that looked like Mr. Miyagi jumped out of the truck.
We have a guy running at Atco that is also pushing 80. He drives his car about 1/2 way to the track on pump gas, then puts in race fuel for the rest of the trip, runs low 9s/high 8s, and drives home. No trailer, no bullshit. Real street car that is driven to/from the track and capable of 8s. He calls himself Oldhead. Rips into anyone who claims to have a "street" car but doesn't actually drive it to/from the track. He's a piece of work.

Sounds like interesting guy. I wonder what he would think about Garth/JID's cars
I have spoken through email with OldHead several times, he has given me some very good free advice on setup with my blown Nova. Great guy to chat with and really knows his setups.
