Last night me and my wife went to go see Night AT THe Museum ( wich I didnt care for)...On the way home.......
Im cruising when about an 1/8 mile back I see some light coming up quickly on my tail. Then the car pulls to my left and paces me with us both doing 70 mph side by side on the freeway...
It's a very unstock Black STI thats so loud I cant even here my car with black rims...And man admittedly that thing looked sweet...
I think the guy thought that because mine is a rt10 that it was one of the gen 1 Vipers that run high 12's at 112 mph...And that he had a chance
So I tried to do the 3 beep and he motioned me just to hit it when I wanted to hit it...( Dang this guy must be packing some heat to give me the jump )
So I hit it at 70 mph and i guess he herd my rpm's cas it seemed like he hit it the milisecond that I did and we were both acellerating side by side...
We stayed side by side from 70-85 mph and then around the end of my 3rd gear I put 2-3 cars on him and by 130 mph in 4th gear I had a solid 5-6 cars on him...
I slowed back down to 70 mph to see if he wanted to try again...But when he caught up him and a passanger rolled down the window and gave me the thumbs up sighn...I returned the thumbs up...
( Ive read of many killies giving the killer the thunbs up after the race...But this was my first time..Admittedly his thumb up in my mind ment that he had gave it everything he had and lost...Kinda made the moment)
Honestly I was expecting to destroy the STI...They trapp a BEST of 105 mph bone stock to my best of 121 mph bone stock...
But this guys car was pretty fast..And he was very confident. I wouldnt be surprised if at a drag strip he could run an high 11 at like 112 mph and could take some stock Vipers...But on the freeway 112 aint gonna cut it
That is pretty funny, because on the way home from a run earlier today, my brother and I ran into a worked Evo in his RT/10.
We pass him on the highway, look in the mirror, and there he is in the lane to the right of us. Look over, and it is a young guy, about 19 years old. The exhaust of the car is loud as hell, and it smells like he has no cats.
The road had a bit of traffic, so they lined up and slowed down. Once there was about a 1/4 mile of open road. They both punch it at about 30. The Viper immediately gets a car length on the Evo and continues to slowly pull the Evo until about 100. At this point the Viper has the lead by 2 cars and is slowly pulling. Both cars let up at 100. The guy in the Evo gives a thumbs up and a honk. It was a fun short run.
A good friend of mine has a few WRXs that will lay some serious hurt on just about anything they might run into. Depending on the car, he will run between a mid 7 and a high 8. Not bad for some little 4 bangers.

isnt the fastest evo in the world really close to you. its out of that guys shop that has the black TT GTS for sale.
I know they have a FAST STI, I believe they run the fastest street STI. Not too sure about the Evo, but I know the guy with the 600AWHP Evo had his car tuned there as well.
at 37 years I probably have 10 years on most sti guys.
recently I had a customer rent a car at one of my offices, he parked his sti in my lot for the day. we got to talking about sti's and he informed me that he was probably the oldest sti owner in the country at 69

I am pretty sure it is not the fastest unless it is my friend you are talking about who took the title of the fastest street STi away from the Australian Rigolis a few years back.
