its funny that my business= sti's and evo's...yet i drive a viper...but my local buddies 04 sti with a GT 30R turbo kit, carbon drive shaft amonth other carbon components (as well as seats) ltw wheels..all sorts of goodies.. gives me a good run from 2nd gear (i have an 00 gts stock) but by the time i hit 4th gear i really start pulling. those cars are fun to drive when modded right, but there is no replacement for cruising at 100mph with the motor relaxing...(100mph in an sti is 5psi...not good for egt's) you can maintain a faster pace in the all motor vehicle while relaxing...obviously both cars were designed for different uses...

I have both a Viper and an STi. The Viper is stock and the STi has very mild mods (downpipe and catback, piggyback computer, 14 psi boost). The Sti only dyno'ed 290 at the wheels but is surprisingly fast. Although my Viper is still a good bit faster on a road course, the STi is actually more fun to race. More tossable and less edgy. I was very surprised that my STi burned just as much gas on a road course as my viper. Turbos really suck down the fuel under boost.

yes those sti's do go through some gas when your flooring it...

i feel the same way, the sti is a bit easier to control at its limits..the viper is a handful...

when you want to increase that sti to a good 400whp or so hit me up, i'll be glad to help out

Josh
