In a $2.4 million race specific car weighing 2,500 lbs. and putting out 800 hp, that's what it looks like.

He took his hand off the wheel to get a cell phone????

Watching the amount of force the wheel needs to turn or the way the wheel jumps in either direction when gear shifting occurs, Who ever is driving is taking a major risk just thinking about letting go of the wheel.

What is the RWHP on it???

Guessing 680 rwhp with a 15% drive train loss. He was doing too much sawing at the wheel putting the power down too fast. Looks like he needs some seat time.

Obviously the car must handle very well for him to be as careless as he was, travel as fast as he was running and never loose it.

I would love to run that course though - the only one I ran was short and quick with only a couple short straights only hitting 100 or so. That course looked kick ass!

Do you know the course? I didn't recognize it, I've run about 6 different ones in Cali a couple where you hit north of 150 mph. I did Texas World Speedway once in your state

Looks like he/she had a helmet on. The driver's gear selection is Horrid, and I bet that car is twice as fast with a driver in it.

Is it really $2.5mil? If so, well, I'd take a couple streetable Enzos!

The FXX features a comprehensive data-monitoring and telemetry that not only allows the driver to improve performance, but also provides Ferrari technicians with valuable data to improve the FXX and future road-going Ferraris.

Ferrari has built 31 of these cars, and they have all been sold to preselected past Ferrari customers, including Ferrari's F1 World Champion driver, Michael Schumacher, which is black and number 30 in the line. One car was not sold and is kept by Ferrari. These few customers will not only own a Ferrari FXX, but also participate in further testing and brand development. As the vehicle is not street-legal, owners have the option of storing the car at Ferrari's facilities. As part of the FXX program, the car is maintained by the Ferrari factory. The purpose of this particular program is to allow Ferrari's top customers exclusive access to its most up-to-date technology and to use their input to help develop future models. The FXX costs 1.3 million euros (1,667,492.57 U.S. Dollars)out of the production line, which makes it the most expensive production car to date.

A new red one was just re-sold here on the east coast for $2.4 million

It's like an Enzo they sticker at $675,000 but you can't touch one for under $1.2 million.

I saw a red FXX running at Pocono last summer at the Celebration of Speed and Design event (never saw so much automotive eye candy in one place before in my life). It was probably the one you are referring to. The guy that owned it owns an exotic car dealership, but I forget the name.

They cleared the track so he would have it all to himself. He took several laps with his 11 year old daughter in the passenger seat. And to think, when I was that age my father drove a beat up chevy station wagon .

He got on it pretty good in the straights, probably hitting about 185 mph, (Pocono has some nice long straights), but went real easy in the turns. Glad I got to see one run in person. The sound alone was a real treat.
